Guide to Payment in Beijing
This is the official payment booklet handed out for free at the airport in Beijing. I picked one up, photographed every page, and put it here so you can read it before you land.
It walks you through the ways to pay in Beijing, with step by step app screenshots: bank cards, setting up Alipay, WeChat Pay and UnionPay on your phone, cash, bank accounts, e-CNY, and transit passes for the subway.

The Payment Service counter in the international arrivals hall of Beijing Capital Airport, Terminal 3, near Exit B, right next to the China Mobile counter. The staff there can also help you set up Alipay and WeChat Pay on the spot.
About this scan
The booklet is published by the Payment & Clearing Association of China and the Payment & Clearing Association of Beijing, and is handed out to visitors free of charge. This is a straight scan of the printed 5th edition from March 2026, the one currently handed out at the airport, shared as a convenience.
